Do you know the 9 Dimensions of Project Management?

Why do our projects always take so long, why are the results often disappointing, and why oh why is it always Management that seems to be the last to know?

One of the main reasons is certainly that project management is very complex. 8 dimensions need to be managed simultaneously, while the tools and methodologies used in project management today only cover 2 to 3 dimensions.

When using traditional project planning techniques, you are essentially optimizing the time aspect of the project by taking into account dependencies and other constraints. Experienced project managers know that this is not enough. Many other aspects, such as people, risks, budgets and costs, deliverables, milestones, stakeholders, and many more need to be handled as well. In fact, using a Gantt-based project planning tool can even be counter-productive, because it is difficult to see the "big picture" when your computer screen shows you the time dimension so very nicely.

Communigram is fundamentally different in this respect. Rather than showing you the timeline (although you can switch to time view whenever you like), it shows you an illustration of who is (or should be) communicating with who and how produced information flows between people, departments and even organizations to achieve the project goals.
