Who is Communigram?

We are an international, multi-disciplinary team of industrialists, IT specialists, consultants and university researchers that continuously develop the BCE methodology and Communigram tools.

Our company supports international companies in various industries. Our main focus is the "Total Project Success" of our customers. They value our pragmatic approach in analyzing their real needs and finding solutions for them. Together we develop reasonable and individual solutions as well as implementation concepts.

Since when does Communigram exist?

The Business Communication Engineering methodology that uses Communigram as its central tool is being developed since 1999. The company Communigram SA was founded in 2005.

What is the advantage of Communigram?

Communigram goes beyond conventional project planning tools such as Gantt and PERT and puts people and communication in the middle of all considerations. In a Communigram, the flows of communication between people necessary for project success are drawn graphically and then come to life through myCommunigram and a series of other IT tools.

Where did BCE / Communigram come from?

Working together with industrial partners, our company has developed specific methodologies and tools for managing particularly challenging projects, in particular R&D projects. One of the main tools is of course the "Communigram" itself, which has proved to be very powerful for managing many types of projects, and even automating certain processes.

What is new about Communigram?

Communigram is a whole new approach to managing projects and processes through Coordination, Collaboration and Communication. What is particularly important is that Communigram first and foremost is a new methodology that has been developed with partner companies and tested in many different types of projects. The tools of the same name have been developed solely to make the methodology operational: with Communigram, you are not buying software (and then left out in the rain to figure out how to use it), but an end-to-end solution with a methodology at its center and tools to make the methodology work.

What is so great about the BCE methodology?

Business Communication Engineering puts the human being, i.e. the participants of a project, into the center of all preoccupations. By the question "Who needs to communicate with Who, to produce Which Deliverable, Who needs this Deliverable, and When?", a very elaborate network of communication flows and intermediate Deliverables is built up that streamlines efforts of teams and helps produce better results faster, while at the same time motivating employees.

When was the BCE methodology developed?

The development of the Business Communication Engineering methodology BCE began in the 1990's together with industrial partners, in particular European automotive industry.

How can our company work with this methodology?

We train your people in workshops in the use of the methodology, preferably by taking one of your currently running projects and reorganizing it following the principles of BCE. This gives people a "learning by doing" experience that helps implement the methodology very quickly.

What are the technical requirements?

Servers:

• Windows Server or Linux server running a Java application server, such as Tomcat 5.5 (we will deliver this package by default free of additional charge)
• Windows Server running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (can also be Express version)

Clients: (user computers)

• Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7 with Java runtime environment v. 1.6 (fully supported)
• Mac OS X with Java runtime environment v. 1.6 (partially supported)
• Linux Ubuntu with Java runtime environment v. 1.6 (partially supported)

Is it easy to use? Do I need training?

Very much so. Communigram has been built to make it very easy to organize and run projects.

When we provide user training, we actually concentrate on the Communigram methodology BCE: people learn how to organize their projects in a simple, effective manner while at the same time learning how to use the Communigram software.

Do you have a hotline, after-sales service, etc.?

Of course we have a hotline, online pages on how to use Communigram, and an online support system with which you can look for solutions and ask for solutions if you need assistance. Information on how to access these resources is available from within the Communigram application.

What are your references?

We work with many companies in the automotive, machine tooling, pharmaceutical, foodstuff, textile, construction, IT, banking and insurance industries. Out of respect for their privacy we do not advertise with their names unless these companies expressly allow us to do so. In this case, you will find references to these partnerships throughout our website.

Where can I buy Communigram?

You can buy Communigram from Communigram SA, CI-Communigram GmbH, or one of our distributors. The software is currently available as a server-installed package or as a hosted solution.
